The XVI Annual International Ballet Festival of Miami (IBFM) will take place August 26 through September 18, 2011. The Festival opened with the Official Poster Unveiling by Cuban Artist Arturo Cuenca and new statue for the “A Life for Dance Award” created by the Cuban sculptor Michel Hernandez. A special book presentation dedicated to the legendary, world-renowned Mexican Contemporary Choreographer Gloria Contreras, followed with the launching of the Dance Film Series at the Miami Beach Cinematheque.
Book Presentation of "Taller coreografico de la Unam 40 años de danza by Gloria Contreras given by Gregorio Luke, former cultural attaché of Mexico in Los Angeles and Director of the Museum of Latin American Art in California.
